Biography

Toby Stuart is an experienced drummer based in Newcastle, NSW. Having played drums for four years, Toby has covered a wide range of the music industry through his drumming.

 

Currently studying at Hunter School of the Performing Arts, he has been exposed to an elite level of music knowledge which he is offering to his music students.

​

Having played in bands covering a wide range of genres, Toby is well equipped to deliver high quality lessons to beginner and intermediate drummers.

Experiences and Achievements

  • Winner of HSPA's Bandwidth Competition 2018 and 2019.

  • Recorded for multiple different artists in jazz, metal, rock, folk, indie.

  • Recorded own album with band.

  • Played venues such as The Dungeon, Newcastle Hotel, Cambridge Hotel, Hunter Theater.

  • House band drummer in HSPA's 2019 production, 'Birds'.

  • Starstruck 2019 rock band drummer.

  • Sound designer for Tantrum Youth Arts 2019 production, 'When the leaves fall'.

  • Played numerous gigs around Newcastle with jazz and rock band.
